WA real estate industry celebrates excellence at REIWA Awards

Western Australia’s real estate industry has recognised its top performers at the prestigious REIWA Awards for Excellence, with 23 awards presented to outstanding agents and agencies.

The Kevin Sullivan Memorial Award, REIWA’s highest individual honour, was awarded to Hayden Groves of Dethridge Groves Real Estate for his exceptional contribution to the industry spanning over 25 years.

REIWA CEO Cath Hart said the awards highlight the state’s best and brightest.

“The Awards are hotly contested and reflect the exceptional standards demonstrated by REIWA members in both residential and commercial real estate,” Ms Hart said.

“These awards go beyond sales transactions or the size of rent rolls and celebrate outstanding real estate professionals whose exemplary professional conduct sets the gold standard for practitioners in Western Australia.”

REIWA President Suzanne Brown said Mr Groves’ service to the industry has been incredible.

“Hayden served on the REIA Board as President from 2021-2023 and Deputy President from 2014-2021. He was REIWA President from 2015-2018 and a REIWA Councillor from 2010-2022,” Ms Brown said.

“He is a passionate advocate for our industry, having represented the concerns of the industry to government and in the media throughout his terms as president of REIA and REIWA.”

Among the major winners, Hedland First National secured Large Residential Agency of the Year, while Realmark Karratha took home Medium Residential Agency of the Year.

Starlight Property Group was named Small Residential Agency of the Year.

Aaron Green from Realmark North Coastal was recognised as Residential Salesperson of the Year, while Siobahan Farmer from Centurion Real Estate claimed the title of Residential Property Manager of the Year.

The winners will represent Western Australia at the Real Estate Institute of Australia’s 2025 National Awards for Excellence in South Australia.

“On behalf of the Institute, I would like to congratulate the winners of the 2024 REIWA Awards for Excellence and thank them for raising the bar for our industry,” Ms Hart said.
