It’s time to vote for the Morris/Sussex Athlete of the Week!

Nominations were provided by coaches and are presented in alphabetical order. Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Tessa Bowers
Villa Walsh junior midfielder
Bowers totaled eight goals and three assists, a ground ball, 16 draw controls and two caused turnovers as the Vikings lost at Kittatinny and beat Morris Catholic.
Liam Costello
West Morris first baseman/pitcher
Costello went 3-for-11 with four RBI and two runs scored as West Morris split a pair of games with Morristown and defeated Roxbury in the Morris County Tournament. On May 10, he allowed five hits and a hit batter, one earned run, and struck out four over 3⅓ innings – then hit the game-winning two-run homer to send West Morris to the MCT final.
Kayla Ewing
Morristown junior hurdler/jumper
Ewing won the 100- and 400-meter hurdles, finished second in the 200 and third in high jump at the NJAC East Track and Field Championships. She scored 34 points, helping Morristown finish second.
Walter Hedblom-Green
Boonton junior jumper/thrower
Hedblom-Green won the high jump (6-2) and javelin (177-10) and placed second in the triple jump (43-4) at the NJAC West Track and Field Championships.
Jordan Ledesma
Parsippany Hills junior shortstop
Ledesma went 5-for-6 with a triple and a walk, a stolen base, two RBI and two runs scored as Parsippany Hills beat Morris Hills and Glen Ridge last week.
Ryan Miller
Wallkill Valley junior pitcher/outfielder
Miller allowed eight hits and four walks and eight runs (six earned), striking out nine – including the 100th of his career – in 5⅓ innings as Wallkill Valley fell to Hunterdon Central in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament and won a pair of games against Sussex Tech. At the plate, he went 3-for-11 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored.
Stephen Shih
Morris Hills junior jumper/hurdler
Shih totaled 32 points, with two victories and four personal bests, at the NJAC East Track and Field Championships. He won the long jump (22-0.5) and high jump (6-6), was second in triple jump (43-9.5) and fourth in the intermediate hurdles (56.59).
Cade Zeolla
West Morris senior pole vaulter
Zeolla broke the Morris County record in the pole vault, clearing 16-2 to win the NJAC East title. The No. 1 vault in New Jersey this spring, Zeolla also broke the meet record and school record.
