Bostonians Hold 'Stand With Ukraine' Demonstration on Third Anniversary of Invasion


Yellow and blue flags flew in Downtown Boston on Sunday, February 23, as protesters rallied to show support to Ukraine, three years after Russia launched a full-scale offensive on the country.

Footage filmed by Oxana Shevel shows demonstrators holding up Ukrainian and US flags, as well as signs reading, “Stand up for Ukraine.”

The President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, announced on Sunday the council would hold a special meeting to discuss the situation in Ukraine on March 6.

Following discussions with several European leaders, French President Emmanuel Macron said he was “committed to ensuring that peace returns to Ukraine in a just, solid, and lasting manner, and that the security of Europeans is strengthened through all upcoming negotiations.”
