A former Spartan is getting a crack in the NFL after an impressive showing during a rookie minicamp tryout.

Former Michigan State linebacker Jordan Turner has signed with the Denver Broncos following his rookie minicamp tryout with the franchise. The Denver Broncos announced the signing on Turner and two other players on Monday.

Turner played one season for Michigan State after starting his career at Wisconsin. In his lone season at Michigan State this past year, Turner recorded 66 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and two interceptions. He was one of the Spartans’ top defenders on a solid unit last season.

Turner went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft last month, but is now getting his chance to make it at the next level. Hopefully, Turner can have an impressive offseason and training camp with the Broncos and earn a spot on the roster or practice squad for the 2025 season.
