2025 PGA Championship preview: Rory McIlroy leads loaded field
Fresh off his Masters win, Rory McIlroy headlines a stacked field at the 2025 PGA Championship.
The 107th PGA Championship is again coming to Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the world’s best golfers will compete to take home the Wanamaker Trophy and the 750 FedExCup points that come along with the victory.
Quail Hollow hosted the PGA in 2017, when Justin Thomas scored a two-shot victory.
Last year’s PGA Championship, at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, was won by Xander Schauffele but began when top-ranked golfer Scottie Scheffler was arrested near the golf course after police said that he disregarded traffic signals from a police officer after a nearby traffic accident. He was released before the first round and finished the tournament tied for eighth place.
With a win, Jordan Spieth will become the seventh male golfer (Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and Rory McIlroy are the others) to complete the career grand slam.
