Six players listed as out for Tennessee-Florida baseball series opener


No. 1 Tennessee (17-0) will open SEC play on Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Vols will host No. 7 Florida (16-2), Friday-Sunday, for a three-game series. Rankings reflect the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

Tennessee enters SEC play with its best start to a season in program history and has won 19 consecutive games dating to 2024. The Vols are also the only remaining undefeated team in college baseball during the 2025 campaign.

First pitch for Friday’s series opener is slated for 6:30 p.m. EDT and can be watched on SEC Network+. Zack Nelson (play-by-play) and Will Heflin (analyst) will be on the call.

Beginning with the 2024-25 athletics calendar, Southeastern Conference schools will provide public reports on availability of student-athletes to participate in each conference game in football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball.
